This still red wine was born in 2015 from the vineyard of the same name and from the selection of some clones from the Piglio and Serrone vineyards. The quantity of grapes produced has made it suitable from the beginning to be an “artisan wine”.

Vintage on the market: 2022

Bottles produced/year: 600 – 750 ml and 1.5lt magnums.

Alcohol: from 14 vol to 14.5% vol (variable according to vintages)

Type of soil in the vineyards: Silty sandy soils composed of iron oxides and manganese coming from underlying limestone rocks.

Vine training system: guyot

Harvest period: 4th week of September or 1st of October.

In the best years, the bunch is left whole and pressed with the feet. In very dry seasons the bunches are destemmed manually and pressed with the feet. Spontaneous fermentation in open wooden vats. And terracotta amphora. Maturation in amphora and 54lt demijohn. Yeasts, enzymes and any other adjuvant for the vinification and maturation of the wine have not been added. Clarifying decantings were carried out according to the phases of the moon. Bottle refinement from 6 months to 1 year.   wine is not filtered and for this reason it may present a light natural deposit at the bottom of the bottle after some time.
